We offer daycare for dogs 8 weeks of age and older.

  • Dogs must meet screening requirements for group play and handling.
  • Dogs appearing to be ill will be immediately removed from group play and isolated until their owners can pick up.
  • Half day is 4 hours or less; full day is greater than 4 hours.
  • Daycare packages expire in 3 months from date of purchase.
  • Dogs not in our care for longer than 6 months may be required to be rescreened.

To ensure the safety of all of our group play guests, dogs must be spayed/neutered no later than 9 months of age. Written proof is required for females.

Dogs entering our facility must have the following vaccines post 18 weeks of age:
  • Rabies: either annually or every 3 years, depending on the specific vaccine administered by your veterinarian.
  • Bordetella: annually
  • Distemper: annually. This vaccine is generally administered via DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus).
  • Additionally, all dogs must be protected by a flea and tick and a heartworm preventative.
Your dog’s health is important to us! We strongly recommend that if your dog is not well to keep him or her home from daycare. If you observe repetitive coughing, sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea please keep your dog at home until the symptoms have ceased for 48 hours.
Any dog that we observe being ill while in group play (daycare) will be removed from the play floor and isolated until their owners can pick up.
Don’t worry. If your dog is removed from group play and placed in a secluded area we will still provide potty breaks, scheduled meals and loving attention.
Just like a child attending school, your dog will be socializing among friends. As such, there is the possibility that they may contract a seasonal upper respiratory infection similar to a cold. Owners must recognize this is a possibility is a group setting of dogs.

Safety First – For ALL!

Potential canine guests are screened prior to admission to ensure they are safe to play with other dogs and can be handled safely by our incredible team.

The evaluation and screening process allows our staff to get to know your dog and provides your dog an opportunity to feel comfortable at Americann Boarding Kennel.

Group play is not suitable for all dogs.

Typical reasons to be excluded from daycare include:

  • Aggressive behavior
  • Uncontrollable dominance behaviors
  • Biting humans or dogs, etc.

American Boarding Kennel reserves the right to refuse any dog at any time.

Also, there are some dogs that do not enjoy the high energy of a dog pack.

For those dogs we strongly recommend our DAY BOARD OPTION. Your dog can enjoy the quiet comfort of one of our private suites, two neighborhood walks and multiple potty breaks.

All sales are final.
